What do you all think about turning Stephanie’s blog into a book, which could be sold to her family’s benefit?

As many of you know, Stephanie Nielson is a fine specimen of feminine athleticism. In her honor should we organize a “Run for Nie?” Let us know if you'd like to run or volunteer and let us know where you reside.

Maybe we could print something very Stephanie-esque onto a shirt and sell those. I'm not positive, but I think we could get them done for $7 (maybe even less) and we could easily sell them for $15-20. And all of the proceeds would go directly to the Nie recovery fund. Do you think it would be worth doing?

This wonderful blog should be turned into a mainstream publication and the proceeds can benefit the family and pay medical bills. Since the siblings have already been interviewed by Matt Lauer, they certainly have the press to create a sensational and best-selling book.

One of Christians high school friends has volunteered to build a website that allows people to donate the money they save from doing things "green" (carpooling, riding a bike, walking, turning of lights...) to the Nielson's recovery fund. Just think, if a 1,000 people committed to carpool or bike to work twice a month for 10 months and instead donated $10, we could raise $100k in less that a year. If you would be willing to donate a portion of the money you save by being green, than please vote for this idea.

Both Christian and Stephanie have weeks of recovering to do and it would be nice if they could listen to audio books, podcast and music while they recover.

Months ago the Nielson's started getting a section of their backyard ready for a garden. It would be fun to set up a drip system and get it ready for them. Christian claims you can plant year round in AZ. Does anyone know what to plant in the fall?

Oprah loves books, and loves to showcase when individual people work to make the world a better place. A NieNie book sold through the Angel Network would offer Stephanie's beautiful blog to a national audience.

I think that what the siblings are doing is great, but they need a break and hiring a sitter for a night or day or both would help a lot!

Mindy, Claire, and Jane could record Golden slumbers and sell it on itunes and the like. I think that it woould be a fabulous fundraiser!

Make a CD with all of Stephanie & Christian's favorite songs & sell with all profits going towards their recovery- after reading a post about their 1st date & music blasting, then seeing pics of them dancing with the kids, I think a tribute CD would be awesome, & not cost much too make, but would sell great!!

Create a wristband in Nie's & or Mr N'S favorite colors or a combo of both there faves. with a Nie~Nieish phrase or love for nie or nie or Nielson (s) and maybe a link back to the NieNie dialouges printed on it so more donations can be recieved. they seem like a popular item I would buy one! of course proceeds will benefit the Nielsons. I would be willing to help with this project then we could each have a little bit of Nie~Nie's positive outlook and positive spirit with us always

How about doing a "dance for Nie Nie event" where we have a night of dance performing, a DJ, open social dancing, and dance instruction. We can accept donations where all proceeds benefit the Nielson family!! What do you think?

Stephanie's sister Courtney speaks french and I think it would be fun to subliminally teach Stephanie French while she is in an induced coma. We need a set of Pimsleur or Rosetta Stone CD's that we can have the nurses play for her.

Have huge boutique! Have people donate any crafty items.

Collect old soup bowls, donated of course, and sell tickets to a 'Benefit Bowl' where supporters can come, get a bowl of soup (get to keep the bowl) and hear good Christian music (donated singing/music by those who are musical). ALL proceeds to be deposited in the NieNie Recovery fund. Cross-country meaning that it could be planned for the same day in cities across the country!! Let's do it for NieNie.
